Welcome . . .

Cheryl Carson is a popular speaker and writer. Her landmark book, Forgiveness: The Healing Gift We Give Ourselves, came as a result of her own intense struggle to learn how to forgive. Her experiences and the ensuing search for answers provided catalysts for change in her own life, as well as a desire to share the newly found, life-changing perspectives with others.

Forgiveness Tips:

  • Ah, "sweet revenge," the saying goes. A contradiction of terms, I believe. For, as the Count of Monte Cristo learned too late, revenge is not sweet, but bitter indeed. He who has pursued it finds that, rather than feeling satisfied, he has given up his chance for life and love.
  • Forgiveness is truly an act of self-love, the healing gift we give ourselves. To hate is easy---it takes no moral strength---but it is healthier to love. Forgiveness is the pathway to love, and love is always the answer to healing of any sort. Blame keeps wounds open; forgiveness heals.
  • When we take responsibility for our own lives and allow others to take responsibility for theirs, we will not feel threatened by their mistreatment of us. "What others think of me is really none of my business!"
